Google Panda Highers Page Rank

August 5, 2011 Leave a Comment

Well I got my page rank back to 3 when Panda came a knocking once again, so basically it was dropped for about 1 month from the first round.

For the keywords “coolest guy on the planet” the site is currently flitting between No.s 10/11 on Google and No.s 1/2/3 on Bing/Yahoo.

The  focus page for “coolest guy on the planet” is going to be changed from the home page to the category page, not in a bid to get higher rankings but because the focus of the site is now less about the competition as a top 10 ranking has been achieved. – And I can’t be arsed going around and putting a 1000 backlinks in place and really thats what is going to take to get higher and look at Brad with a combined 70,000 links, my god – but the funny thing is he still can’t get the Number one spot.

Top 7 in Google Incoming Links:

coolestguyontheplanet.org – 295
bradfallon.com – 32,816
bradfallon.com 2- 40,442
coolestguyontheplanet.com – 149
thecoolestguyontheplanet.com – 1450
russellbrunson.com – 361
panta-ta-ethne.blogspot.com – 1209

I have a paltry 46

A good way to discover how many links are incoming to your site is through the Yahoo Site Explorer to go to:

http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/

It’s about the only good thing that Yahoo is good for – type in the web site – and also make sure you select the option of “Show Inlinks – Except from this domain” so you don’t include your own links.

Also you can show links to the URL only or to the entire site.
